Badgley Mischka 'Keeper' Pump:

I like the 'Keeper' pump because of its construction. I love the fact that it is whimsical and carefree. I am happy that it is satin with a grosgrain bow because the satin is more what I am looking at now, a "proper evening shoe" material! What do you think?
The second pair of shoes is also by Badgley Mischka. This sandal is called the 'Randi':

I like the 'Randi' sandal because it is a little sexy, to be honest. My feet are covered for the most part so they won't really be shown off by my dress in any way. This shoe brings the sexy without my feeling guilty over it during the church service, too. The shoe is fun and flirty which may be nice long-term wear wise, as I can wear it out with my skinny jeans and a cami-cardi set or with a fun summer dress and my pearls! It is satin as well and I would have to assume that the "petals" are organza with the way they fall (although of course Nordstrom doesn't tell us!!). What do you think?

Nothing major on the wedding front although M and I did make a 50% deposit on the luxury home we have rented for our honeymoon week in North Carolina. We are staying in the village of Duck. We had considered the Sanderling Resort, one of my family's mainstays, but we wanted to have our dog and be able to cook together at a sound front home, so we booked a house instead. We will just take the car service to the Sanderling for dinner and spa treatments when needed, instead! Just as good : ).

I like the "Keeper" pump! Both choices will be nice, good luck with your decision!
ReplyDeleteI too favor the "Keeper" but I love them both! Your plans sound lovely. What a fantastic idea to rent a home. I can't wait to hear all about it <3
ReplyDeleteI like them both:).
ReplyDeleteI think the Keeper is a bit more wedding like, but they are both simply breathtaking! I literally gasped when I saw them (I love shoes).
ReplyDelete@PLD: sounds like you voiced the most popular opinion! I just think the bow is perfect (but not patent like the Valentino I loved this summer). Its just a bit more appropos.
ReplyDelete@Jamie: The beach house is just a great option to really do things on your terms, y'know? And you have more authority on noisy neighbors, too. : )
@LPC: I am sooo glad they meet your approval- fun but neutral just sounds better to me too.
@Sara: aren't they lovely? They are both together less than a pair of Louboutins and really kind-of a rose-y nude. I do find whimsy in shoes to be fun! Also, Louboutins have that red sole and having that in a church bothers the prude in me : )
Luv the keeper pump!

Just found your blog and love it! I can't wait to read all about the details of your wedding planning... I just got married in August and I miss the planning already! My vote is for the Keener, but both are gorg!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the Keeper is still the #1 pick! Thanks for the comments, ladies!

I own a pair of 'Keeper' in charcoal grey as an evening show with a charcoal sequin dress. They are fairly comfortable but I would recommend testing them out at home before your wedding - there is potential for them to cut slightly across the top of your foot and you may find you'll want to either pad them there or use moleskin to add comfort on this special day.
ReplyDeleteI really love the second one. The flowers are just so pretty :). Twas nice seein' ya at Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOh the first shoe is a beaut!
ReplyDeleteLove both of them...the first is more traditional and the second is a little more unconventional. I say go with whichever are more comfortable :)
