Sponsored post: WorthyStyle loves Sun Basket

This review was made possible by Sun Basket. I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.

I was recently given the opportunity to test out two weeks of Sun Basket, a meal kit service similar to other major brands out there with a HUGE difference: they offer gluten free, Paleo, dairy free, vegetarian and soy free options for people of all diet restrictions. As many of you know, I have Celiac disease and for what it's worth - I've never had a negative reaction to the Sun Basket gluten free dishes. It's so wonderful to get 11 meal options to pick from each week, of which EIGHT are gluten free. No other meal service gives me so many options. We have loved this service so much, that we actually pay for the "family" plan just so we get to enjoy 3 bigger-portioned meals and have plenty of leftovers for the remainder of the week.

Gluten free groceries are REALLY expensive if you're buying gluten free breads, etc., but these meals have never included a single bread or pasta dish... and to be honest neither me nor my carb-loving husband have missed them a bit. Each has had enough portions to even have leftovers of the sides, and the proteins (fish, beef, turkey, pork, cod, chicken and salmon) have all been 5-6 ounces per serving, which is more than enough. These meals also help ensure I get all the fruits and vegetables I need which is so important for my diet.

As if all of these options weren't already amazing, they also source the majority of their ingredients to be organic, non-GMO and hormone-free. Not many 'meal order' brands can say that. Occasionally an ingredient may not be organic, but it's good to know they attempt to do all of the above a majority of the time. Sun Basket also sends you your order in boxes and containers with mostly recyclable items (plastic or compostable containers), recyclable/compostable cotton and film, and you can return to them some insulation or freezer packs with the enclosed stickers they include in your shipment box.

You may be wondering, what dishes have we been able to enjoy from Sun Basket so far?

  • Pan-roasted pork loin with peach tomato salad (Gluten Free, Paleo)
  • Grilled steak with roasted poblanos and New Mexican chile sauce (Gluten free, Paleo)
  • Mediterranean beef kebabs with mint-pistachio relish (Gluten free, Paleo)
  • Vietnamese cod with rice noodles and mango salad (Gluten free)
  • Steaks with artichoke butter and summer vegetables (Gluten free)
  • Moroccan-spiced chicken breasts with melon-cucumber salad (Gluten free/Paleo)
