Whitney is a Virginia native. She grew up in Rockbridge County with a mother involved in the fashion industry and a father who was an executive, always dressed immaculately. She was very particular with her clothes from an early age, and was always taught to appreciate what she had, big or small.
Whitney is a multitasker. Whitney started blogging on LiveJournal in 1998 as a way to keep up with her best friends from summer camp. Since then, she has written on different blog websites, until she started writing WorthyStyle in May 2008. She has been a writer for the Examiner website for both their Charlottesville and Richmond fashion news columns since May of 2011. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia as a double-major in Environmental Studies and Political Science. She currently works for the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Legal Secretary. One of her greatest pleasures is spending time writing her columns, working on her blog and connecting with like-minded people through Social Media.
